Depart Marrakech early and traverse the High Atlas Mountains through scenic passes. Visit Kasbah Ait Ben Haddou and continue through the Draa Valley. Stop in Tazenakht, a traditional Berber village known for carpet weaving. Continue to the desert gateway town of Foum Zguid. Settle into a traditional desert camp in the late afternoon. Experience your first camel ride across the Erg Chigaga dunes at sunset, with panoramic views of endless sand dunes. Enjoy traditional Berber dinner and evening entertainment around the campfire.
Deep Desert Immersion
Spend the entire day exploring the remote Erg Chigaga dunes. Begin with an early morning camel trek, visiting nomadic Berber settlements and learning about their desert lifestyle. Experience lunch prepared by nomadic families in their traditional setting. Afternoon activities include optional quad biking or further camel trekking. Return to camp for sunset and dinner.
